Vintage Ornament Wreath.

Why you ask? Because there's nothing like a completely out-of-season craft to get your week started off in the right direction! Truthfully, well, it's because my living room looks * embarrassingly* like this.

Let it be know that it is August, and my Christmas wreath is still up.

WHAT PEOPLE?! I had a baby sometime in there.. I like to think of it as an 'all-seasons' wreath. It is very colorful...

Because I like to torture myself with my craft projects, I made this out of actual vintage glass ornaments, and I made it GINORMOUS. If you decided to undertake this project, let me suggest you make your wreath either a) ginormous and made of plastic ornaments or b) smaller and made of glass ornaments. I used I wire wreath form and actually wired the larger ornaments to the base. Then I hot-glued the smaller ornaments on top to fill in any gaps.

There is another component to this story that is absolutely necessary to understand before you decide to make one. This wreath has a nickname; I like to call it the 'Wreath of DEATH'.

If you so much as sneeze in the direction of this wreath, those gorgeous and thin vintage ornaments will shatter. Shards of razor thin glass will remain on your floor for months, defiant of all vacuuming and sweeping. Yes friends, this craft comes with a serious caution label.

Honestly, I love it, but I'm afraid to move it again! I don't have any place to safely store it because it is ginormous..(remember, and old-house = teeny closets). I think when I work up the courage, I may just hang it permanently above my craft-room desk. It's not too Christmas-y is it?

Lots of love,
Lindsey
